'The Second Annual Equine Dreams Contest' Rules:

1) For the Digital Art your submission can be Digital Painting, 3D, or Photomanipulation, or any combination of the above.

2) For the Traditional Art category your submission can be painting of any type, lineart, pencil, coloring, inked, etc. Photography is not accepted. You may do sculpture, but please provide some 'work in progress pictures' for it.

3) For the literature category your piece can be poetry or a short story. Please keep the story to under 7 pages.

4) Remember, the theme of this contest is 'Equine Dreams'. Your submission must be 'Fantasy, High-Fantasy, Dark, Gothic, Sci-fi or 'Cute Fantasy' Themed. I don't want a drawing of a plain horse. I don't want paintings of a rider in a show ring going over jumps.

5) Your sumbission must include a horse, some sort of fantasy horse, a horse-creature combination, or some sort of equine. Your submission can contain whatever else you'd like in addition to the horse. (Additional stock resources may be used if desired. You MUST give proper credit to the stock used and follow all the stockers rules- This WILL be checked.)

6) Artistic nudity is allowed, but no sexual acts between characters. (Additional stock resources for photomanipulators may be used if desired. You MUST give proper credit to the stock used and follow all the stockers rules- This WILL be checked.)

7) Will be judged on creativity, effort, and appeal (eye-candy!).

8) Two entries per contestant, total. You can enter in various categories.

9) This must be your own work, and it must be NEW for this contest only. You MUST send me a note with a link to the deviation.

10) You must state in the arist comments that your piece is for the 'Equine Dreams' contest by me and provide my icon. Please put your entry as 'critique not desired'.

11) Entries will be accepted starting on Dec 13th. DO NOT post your entry prior to that date. The contest closes Feburary 14th. No late entries will be accepted.

12) I am NOT a judge. If you have any additional questions or want to toss an idea by me you are welcome to do so.

13) Be a good sport. I reserve the right to deny anyone entry to the contest before or after they have submitted their entry if they are a bad sport about the contest. EVERYONE who enters will walk away with some sort of participation prize.
